So does this mean that AI will not be opened every Saturday? they should have cut the overtime to save some jobs perhaps!

I was laid off in CA. The wrong people were laid off today in San Diego.
It doesn't sound like academic directors were hit. No consolidating of positions like last year.

So far every dept ....Faculty, IT, finan aid, admissions, career services.
They just laid off one of the most knowledgeable, hard working guys in CS IT. Team lead, tons of peer to peer awards and was a work horse. The layoffs make no sense and makes me believe that the deal with DCF will not go through. If this guy was laid off, things are really bad. Good luck getting anything fixed with CRM/Digital App.
