Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

A different view about business changes

Let me start this by saying that I do not know what Amazon is planning to do, there may or may not be any layoffs.

Yet, in my view, all jobs are temporary, really. Unemployment is a new beginning, really. Each of us may go through the cycle of denial, despair, anger, etc. after we were cut, I certainly did when they eliminated my position in the big purge of 2016.

For many of us, once cut, the colors may be brighter, the birds sing sweeter and the world is an infinite range of possibilities.

Maybe now is the time to consider a whole different career, or a move closer to family.

Same here. An end is just another beginning. The end in 2015 layoffs led to bigger and better things... Enjoying life, less stressed job, and doing what i love!

I would agree. Our jobs have been on the line since that first layoff so I am not going to sweat the changes. Only positive thing is the technology and possible other employment opportunities that may or may not exist with Amazon. Just have to wait and see or make a move, the choice is in our hands.

Been there, done that. You nailed it. When I lost my job at the food hole, I felt I had gotten out of jail. My job was eliminated.
