They bet on the loosing horse. Looking at how divided the US is today, and the way the American government has become a world wide laughing stock (literally, Trump and co are a great source of comedy) I am not convinced that they bet on the wrong horse.
Tetration is the future. It will blow the competition to smithereens.

JC may be a republican, but he, and therefore Cisco bet on the wrong horse this last election. However, now that chuck has announced to the world the cisco is the AI king in the networking space, i'm sure he's expecting an invite. That's right, Cisco "announced" it's relevant in the AI space now, just like big data with tetration before.
So they actually did one thing right? Not sure that tells us much.
