Where is the EISP that was supposed to be offered 2nd quarter company wide??

Another rumor on here, imagine that!

Agreed. Verizon is counting on attrition to reduce numbers. There will likely be small offers to areas where they want to vacate a building or similar. The trick is to hold out long enough to leave the company and move to a contractor such as Ericsson.

VZ is banking on attrition without backfill. There is no rational reason to offer an associate buyout. If you think the Union will go to bat for you on this, look at the number of New Jersey state CWA members are not working today. VZ is just waiting for the terms of the current contract to allow for layoffs. If that doesn't come soon enough field and CO work will be contracted out to Ericsson as VZ has done with its operations in the rest of the world. Count on it.

CSSC, Customer Sales and Service Center will NEVER EVER GET A BUYOUT AGAIN. FACT!!!!!! My reasoning is when last offered only the new employees took it and ran, and CSSC is a money making department even though it is micro managed and causes employees poor health and aggravation. We are all numbers and replaceable.

2huo has a point. There is more travel of less value than this poster has ever (30+ yrs) seen. To 1dme point re GATT, for me the PBGC rate always yields the highest number in the pension calculator and the rate is 1% for pensions commencing through 1 September I believe. Watch for opportunities to take a package, the reorgs aren't over and may never end.

Why leave?

With all the Reorganizing that this company has done,. We work about 3 hours a day!

The rest of our time is either traveling or filing silly reports.

We are on a Gravy Train!

Ride it out!
