Thread regarding Wal-Mart Stores Inc. layoffs

Walmart's Vendors and Amazon Cloud

Repost from @NUUVA0H-god (I thought it was a smart post):

Can't really blame Walmart for that one. Given that Amazon uses the profits it gets off its web services to subsidize the rest of its business, this request makes sense.

Interestingly enough, there was a recent article in the media talking about how Amazon's vendors were defecting to Walmart due to all the fees imposed upon them. Wonder if that sticks in J.B.'s craw?

I'm not saying that Walmart is in the catbird seat by any means. They need to fix the areas where they are behind in a hurry if they want to survive this battle with Amazon, Aldi, and Lidl. They should also probably stop crapping on their employees with all these layoffs. Their people got them to where they are. And only their people can get them out of this.

Sam Walton inspired ordinary people to do extraordinary things. His leadership brought out the best in people and he didn't have to lead through fear.

Amazon leads through fear if you believe the news reports. But they also have an average two year tenure at their home office. That turnover will eventually catch up to them. Walmart needs to remember to be Walmart and stop copying Amazon. Imitators never win the race in the long run. Sam Walton knew that. Does D.M.?
