The auto manager just told me he was just informed that they are closing July 29th.

Wow I was the qmt for that store up in till 2 months ago when I quit. The whole store could see it coming I wish them all the best.
Yes, I'm in the Grove City store. We are in the Detroit which doesn't make sense to me. We're a 4 hour drive from our DM, and 2 hours from the Fostoria Store which is also overseen by the DM.
We heard grumblings that we would be moved back to the East Indiana district (along with the Dayton store), but that was months ago. Seems more logical to be 1 hour away from a sister store, than 2 hours. Of course this is Kmart and nothing makes sense.

You must work the Kmart In Grove City, then. Only Kmarts left in Ohio south of I-70 is that store, Cambridge, Chilicothe, here in Dayton on Woodman Drive, Hillsboro, Harrison just west of Cincinnati and my hometown out in Marietta. That is it. Hard to fathom. Used to be a lot Kmarts in southern Ohio alone. How times change.

Any Kmart stores on the list?
We are in Southern Ohio, but belong to the Detroit District... DM is coming in on Friday, which is almost a 4 hour drive for him. Many associates thinking it's the closing store speech. Manager has been freaking out trying to clean the store to make it ready for him. Last store in Columbus, it's very sad.
as far as I know the reginal manager has the list ... the stores that are closing are being announced today at there rally meetings

just heard 20 sears stores were announced on a list that came out on Tuesday... stores were told this morning ... couple I know of are Roseville Michigan and Toledo Ohio /// not sure the other 18
