Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Infosys visa scams

http://m.timesofindia.com/business/india-business/new-york-fines-infosys-1million-for-work-visa-violations/articleshow/59291339.cms

1 million is drop in the bucket. These f^*#}ing a$&-holes should be fined significantly for compensating the american familes as a result of abusing the h-1 visa system and and replacing american corporate workers with sub-standard indian workers with fabreicated resumes. Same goes for tcs, which is now claiming to hire in america. Fact remains that they are either hiring indian students in US or h1 visa spiuses who do not need sponsorship.

On the bright side, finally BOA has scaled back on h1 contractors.

Im addition, based on the recent GT@O org changes, it seems like they are trying to get the execs and senior management people who came from these companies and were primarily hiring h1 (or other on spousal visa) out of key positions.

Finally looks lile the playimg field is being leveled for the american born worker

For as long as you think time is short, it will be. As soon as you start feeling safe, your package will be handed to you immediately!

I swear this drives me nuts. "We are a global company" Cathy said. Yeah. Right. Unless you live in a country where you need to pay a livable wage and comply with labor laws. If you live in one of those types of countries we will be much less likely to hire you.

The drive to for profit has gotten so bad lately I have lost respect for the leadership. Seriously. Turn over is soo bad. We used to rely on talented motivated people who could get the job done. No more. Now it is all process all the time to the expense of actually getting work done.

Every time I have to change my password I think to myself "will this be the last password at the bank"? Lame but totally true. I have been think that for the last couple years. I feel time is really short now though.

dont hate Indians blame it on profiteering by Indian Outsourcing companies and clients in US who have extreme cost cutting ambitions

Most of offshore project teams in Indian outsourcing companies form a pattern.

One real experienced techie only in every team of 10-15 freshers.

Gullible clients pay for 10-15 experienced folks and get just 1 or 2.

Result wind fall profit Indian out sourcíng companies who keep laying off experienced folks every 3 months and keeps hiring freshers. Result is displaced and financially affected families in India with school and college going kids.

This outsourcing model and H1B is not helping both american citizens or Indians just the big big clients in USA and Indian Outsourcers are reaping huge profits.

for Ex TCS is the only form doing well in Tata group and keepin group portfolio healthy.

Same case with Mahindra and mahindra who failing automobile LOB is getting life line form techm

Wipro needs no mention.
