Our technology is out of date that's why it's not automated yet. We use homegrown programs that are way behind everyone else.
Well, in my store, all the buyers in grocery do a lot more than order product. We also work back stock, throw the truck, clean, order and put up tags, make displays, give excellent guest service, inventory, make special orders, and do whatever needs to be done for the team.
Why don't you give him/her a corrective action for trolling

In all seriousness all over major supermarkets have been using automated ordering systems for decades now. Not all change is bad, I think technology has made it the role reduntant. As a team leader my job would be made a lot easier if everything was automated or allocated from corporate.
