When is the wireline super IPP coming?

There is good and bad in every group we all know that. It's no different in the union. Some great techs and some not so great. Engineers too. I worked ? with one engineer whose main concern was not getting involved in a problem I was asked to call him about. "Do me a favor, don't say you talked to me" lol
I always thought 1st line mgmnt should have been unionized. 1st liners have a tough job caught between upper mgmnt and the union. I prefer the old school managers who had experience in the job over today's managers anyday. Sure we had our differences, but there was often some mutual respect for each other and respect for our customers.
We are supposed to be here providing a service here not creating a perfect C.Y.A. timesheet for upper managers to pretend they have accomplished something.
Back when the PSC still had teeth It used to be... "lets get this customer taken care of we can worry about timesheets later". If the problem got solved, nobody was searching and looking to create some other problem.
Nowadays time sheets, statistics and petty details of the work day take precedence over the customer. I am totally serious, lots of times workers, especially managers trying to protect their jobs, are forced to worry more about numbers and statistics than individual customers.
This is what happens when you don't let people think for themselves and don't let people make decisions based on the situation at hand instead of some flow chart.
What happened to our company? Does it even exist anymore?
Upper management should have to take some blame for the mess they have created.
Doubt it...today is the 9th and the union hasn't been notified.
Coming to a mailbox near u by may 9th ... if u are eligible
kjx...most intelligent post ive seen on here in a while.

Pretty funny the company shafts you but you are mad at the union.
You are right of course, the manager should be compensated better than the people he manages.
Back in the day this was the case and they had better managers they recruited from the union workforce so they had people managing the shops who had actually done the job.
When they made management a worse job than craft, they lost out on recruiting the more intelligent workers from craft. After that only the dunces would leave craft for management. That is probably when things started going downhill.
Now they just hire people off the street who have no experience in the company and things are worse than ever. Of course nowadays it seems the company doesn't really care anyway, they are far more interested in go90.
@Nb1STdF-1rsq--- "if you were leading negotiations" it appears your a dreamer. the union gets what it gets. You or no one on here can take that away. Go play with your dolls..........
Ha ha ! Union strong !!! Huh. You are too easy :) You are a bunch of lucky people thats for sure. If I was leading the negotiating at last years contract for mgmnt you would still be humpin your union strong signs. I dont care if those Democrat hacks in Washington threatened
Verizon or not. These so called Leaders of Verizon get what they deserve when they don't have the guts to put the last nail in the coffin. There should be no way in Hell you are treated better than mgmnt people who put their jobs on the line every day with their performance in their jobs. I don't blame the Union I blame the A Holes that run this outfit.
@Nb1STdF-1lpw --hahahaha what an a-hole, this is why vz gets away with the crap they do, due to uniformed people like you. I can still get a lumpsum, medical, matched 401k , plus other benefits............. my children are well taken care of, they will get my matched 401k. Go back to school dropout.
The lump sum buyout is still available. Contract expires 2019 and it is available until then.
"Union strong!!!! I get my pension, 401k and medical, plus!!! Now I have go, having dinner and drinks with my union buds!!!"
Too bad you can't get a lump sum any longer. Hope you are healthy so that you can enjoy that annuity up until you drop dead. Shame you can't pass along your pension to your childrenz.
The first person that responded was correct. The union must approve any enhanced buyout, and to whom it is offered.
Don't forget Class A Service. Bitçhés!!
Union strong!!!! I get my pension, 401k and medical, plus!!! Now I have go, having dinner and drinks with my union buds!!!
Never
Once again, you have no idea what you are talking about. Educate yourself on the facts before making posts. Facts are facts, how you feel has nothing to do with it.
It's not coming.
All of you union people, that are Aholes, snicker snicker when mgmnt people got riffed . Well your day is coming .
When the union decides???? Are you kidding??? Verizon can make offers to all the company janitors to fulfill there contractual obligations if they want. Why would they make an offer when they can just bleed there employees to near death so they leave with nothing!! If Verizon is a sinking ship the management cartel is going to throw the employees overboard first to try an stay afloat,,not give themextra money and say bon voyage.....better get out your life preservers quick
My lump sum buyout went down 50,000 since October of 2016. If they offered an eisp now, I and many others will go. If they wait until October to offer one, my lump sum will have fallen even more, so then I'll have to stay another year or two until the gatt rate goes down.
People are leaving without it. As rates go up folks are rolling out.
"Those days are over"..... says who? There is a contract you know.
You guys must not work in wireline and have no idea what you are talking about.
Those days are over . You get what they offer or you can be laid off . They are obligated to give an offer and if you don't take it .....you can be separated from the payroll. Get ready little snowflakes. VZ is swimming in debt .
And you know this how?
The company will do what they want when they want.
As soon as the union allows the offer to be made.
