Just received news from a credible source that AI will be seriously impacted by massive program cuts and faculty reductions over the next 6-8 months after the Dream Center deal is closed. The source has confirmed a substantial number of AI schools will be closing within 12 months. This reduction will affect all faculty members throughout the organization, so be prepared to search for other employment opportunities elsewhere. Reductions are definitely coming to AI soon!!!!!

I have it on good authority that HLC has decided they will not be continuing accreditation of their respective campuses.
HLC is visiting Chicago next week. This is confirmed based on HLC website. Since these schools have gone from probation to "notice" they are being checked up on after ILIA submitted their follow up to the violations against them. We will all know the results very soon. Keep checking HLC site for accurate information.
The info is in plain sight. Or site, as it were. As was previously mentioned, Chicago has no DCF info. HLC has been after them for a while now. Add in the AG building evidence and its not hard to see why it is a hard pass from DCF on the campus.
EDMC =pyramid scheme
Our ADAs keep bringing in Media Arts and Game Art students. Their gullibility is such a target. They need to go to a trade school so they can pay for all the video games they like playing.
I told my AG and DOE what is going on at AIC. Don't worry... that deal is toast.
Where is the creditable source? If certain campuses are not bought by DCF when will the annoucement be made? After the nightmare is revealed in what a mess they bought with the other campuses? Other HLC schools are Chicago, Schaumburg and Michigan.
You are incorrect. The one is Colorado IS being bought. But it cannot "close the deal" until the Higher Learning Commission blesses it, which will not be until later this year. There are three others in this boat, but I don't know which ones.
All Ai schools in Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan and South Carolina are not being bought by Dream Center.
Just looked at Chicago's web site & it doesn't have the dream center "we're going non-profit*" thing on it. Seems like legit info. Thank you! Any other campuses they are passing on?
The Dream Center is not buying Chicago campus. They don't like the area and the faculty and staff has salaries too high to burden themselves with changing. Chicago will close with the reach out schools.
Yes, more info please about the Chicago campus.
what is happening at the Chicago campus?
Just look at what is happening at the Chicago campus. If that is any indication of where things are headed, I would say this is accurate.
The sky is falling, the sky is falling!
Are any of the closings new to the list of planned teach outs? See the "Locations" section of the Wikipedia.

Is this the same credible source that said EDMC would close its doors in June 2016?
