Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

The Molinas Fired

I'm at MH - Ohio.

We haven't heard anything yet, but it appears the Molinas were flat out fired in that meeting last week.

They had no idea it was coming, and clearly the PR we've been getting fed at the office didn't address that in the slightest.

Now that this new guy is at the helm, I'm guessing that all the plans are going to see cuts. I just started here in January after 10 years in local government.

I'm going to see about going back. This isn't what I'd call job security at all.

Here is an update from a very very reliable source

From July to September 2017 Directors, VP, AVPs and Managers

were cut in half. Molina is very top heavy in AVPs, managers and VPs.

When the molina's ran Molina healthcare us (FTEs) Full time Employees were

safe from being layedoff. Not anymore, Contractors are safe and the FTEs are

on the chopping block.

1000+ people were laid off in Sept 2017and more to come.

  1. Midwest Clinics Michigan are in the process of shutting down. Employees doesnt

know it yet but they are all being layed off end of October 2017

  1. Midwest Michigan Providers term dates are end of October 2017 (Physicians)

  2. Florida Clinics MMG & MMM is closing and employees term dates is end of October 2017

  3. Utah MMM Clinic closing and employees term dates is end of October 2017

  4. Mario Molina is in the process of buying California clinics.

Ya this happened in New Mexico too. Last Monday 81 of us at Molina NM were told our last day is May 19th which is this coming Friday. This was because of money so the share holders can keep getting rich which is b---s---. A lot of the layoff recipients were past their first year of service for Molina. There is something called seniority which should allow for the company to protect their employees with most longevity over those who are still in their "probationary" phase!! There were employees who didn't lose their job who have only been employed a few months yet other who lost their job and have been with Molina for years. Its sad that a company who works for people who are struggling conducted poor business decisions that caused an employee layoff. This leads to Molina providing poor care to its member who require the service its supposed to be providing by having to cut budget and chop employees!!

Actually the layoffs had nothing to do with the new CFO. It was in motion prior.
