Lots of QCOM employees are getting laid every day.
If you deport 2,500 H1Bs back to India, there won't be any layoffs.
QC can probably remove 2,500 employees thru phoney PIPs over period of months without having to announce it officially.
What part of S.M.'s "$500m in annual synergies" don't you understand? Do the math, divide $500m by $200K and you get 2,500 layoffs when the deal closes. Its not rocket science.

The layofff is coming this September, dont need to mentioned every day. Many people will be affected and you will see it.
They are probably right in the long term, but their timing is completely off. All major mergers result in some layoffs to redundant staff. Anyone saying September doesn't understand how any of this works. There is always MORE work immediately after a deal closes.
