Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Isn't it ironic, don't you think

When people post their well founded observations about the deplorable state of SHC, they are immediately shamed by the corporate shills. They are admonished for the devastating impact their comments have on the corporate well being. When associates speak to the press, the SHC shills huff and puff with indignation that the comments are being used by malevolent business reporters to wreak havoc on the company. However, when the shills' beloved leader, Eddie, flaps his lips and creates disparaging headlines and sends SHLD stock heading south, they suddenly become strident apologists!

The corporate trolls can all kizz my azz. I'm just hanging around waiting for the closure so I can collect unemployment for a while. We used to schedule 20+ cars a day plus walk in's. I now schedule 4 to 5 cars a day and have possibly another 3 to 4 walk in's. Each one asks how long we have left. I don't try to cover up anymore. I tell them I feel by the end of the year or sooner we will be gone. The DM's are up my a-- about car count, big 5"s, productivity......on and on. Phuque them all!

Won't gain Much ?? Eddie shouldn't be in a position to GAIN anything from the bankruptcy of SHC. That's not how it's supposed to work.

It does work that way many times but it's quite brazen of him to casually say it. Now the employees. They won't gain Much. Ability to collect some unemployment and maybe a little training depending on state rules.

yyf- how is eddie right to a degree? What being reported in the business news is not fair? Maybe, all the secrecy of SHC over the years ( like how they are closing more stores than reported, how the financials are not always on the up and up etc.) is finally catching up with them.

@ygg Exactly this. If SHC can't pay cash money to Fast Eddie, then they will hand over the value of what they owe him in real estate. He will literally own the lots that Sears and/or KMart stores are on. And he will turn around and sell them to the highest bidder.

" Eddie has already said he wont gain much by bankruptcy....... "

Won't gain much... WON'T GAIN MUCH ???

Sears has 90 properties tied up as collateral for (2) additional $500 mill loans from Fast Eddie and his affiliates One (with 69 properties) is due July 2017 the 2nd (with 21 properties) is due in 2020 AND as a secured creditor Fast Eddie gets 1st crack at them in a bankruptcy

Best thing that could happen to Fast Eddie is Sears filing bankruptcy July 10th 2017

The atrium roof is leaking? Classy way to maintain a 1 billion dollar property (when it was built). I wonder with all of the deferred maintenance how much it is down to now?

Eddie is a major secured debt holder which means he is first in line to recover assets that are left.

Eddie has already said he wont gain much by bankruptcy.......pretty much just the pension plan. He is right if Sears has met their obligations but as far as the vendor wanting to continue after....good riddance.

Eddie is right, to a degree. However the majority of the gripes and complaints about the stores amount to reasonable criticism. That is what he and many at corporate fail to see.

Also, if Eddie actually gave a sh!t, the corporate atrium wouldn't be leaking like one of the 500 Kmart roofs that leak.

All the corporate shills on here try to do damage control. Any former or current worker for SHC knows that bankruptcy is imminent.
