@1vbu - a note is a debt bond. You give Verizon money, they give it back in so many years plus interest.
Retail means they are offering them to the general public. Why? Because institutional portfolio managers are not buying anymore Verizon debt which also means Verizon is DESPERATE to raise cash.
Is this so they can keep making the car payment on Lowell's shiny 5g van?
Coupon rates from 2.6 to 4.9. The 4.9 notes are due 2022.

When Verizon has to service their $110 billion plus in debt, then that will be a different story.
Stupid stores will close eventually regardless. They have outlived their usefullness.
