Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

TMG is next ...

Samsung spins off Foundry

http://www.eetimes.com/document.asp?doc_id=1331748&

If Intel hopes to be competitive there is two directions

Continue to shrink and milk x86 and sever. IBM and other system houses have shown this is busted as did AMD.

Spin off TMG and they have to compete with the Asian foundrys. All I got to say is ouch as no western company can compare or compete effectively on manufacturing costs.

Can't wait to see Ye next big ACT, those in TMG should be worried, berry worried!

Or take a look at the breakdown of income by operating segment and not be worried...

@NjPlaD0-3vkd Sadly x86 volume continues to fall that the ability to invest in the R&D and huge factories make it difficult. X86 volume continues to fall while pricing leverage is falling as people care less to pay much. Thus the retreat to severs where intel screws server buyers making them pay thousand and tens of thousands for silicon that it sells to client for a few hundred. That monopoly will soon end as Google and others are tired of handing intel that cash, especially to an idiot like BK.

AMD and ARMy are also chomping for just a little of that profit and at 10nm have arrived.

PSO and BK has failed to diversify as Foundry is a bust, none of the initiatives are close to providing revenue, profits, nor volume relief. So Intel and TMG can't compete with scale of TSMC and Samsung...

More ACTs are but certain for intel and TMG to protect margins, ugly times ahead are all but certain!

TMG is simply a shell of it's former self, unable to develop new technologies. Nothing but a struggle for that org. Lol!

Intel is world leader in silicon manufacturing and will continue to be. BK, the creative leader, will lead Intel to new destination

@NjPlaD0-vdg So how is TMG well positioned... do tell me ? If you work at intel and can't post a coherent and compelling argument why all is good and Intel and TMG is well positioned then your future and intel is indeed ready for the next ACT, insults don't change your future 😂😂😂😂😂
