How big is the June 1 layoff going to be? I'm guessing 20,000, at least half of which will the the old field salesforce in the US and Western Europe. Another big chunk will be whatever support is left in the US and Emea. Then you have more HE layoffs and cats and dogs. Thoughts ?

Rumors are true...lots of folks from VP's all the way down were let go. Different LOB's so have no idea on the number.
People need to look around and stop believing the lies and start believing in you gut feeling. If things don't look right they probably are not.
This is not going to happen 1 June, first of all in Europe there are tight laws that at least 30d before a big layoff it has to be announced to the union etc. so as that didn't happen its not 1 June.
Also Oracle is just getting rid of people slowly to not be on the radar and to prevent paying too much benefits.
And since they are replacing many of the people who will be laid off with Class of newbies, why even bother counting the net reduction. He's such an ass
The reason MH said there is no layoff because cutting 20000 position in Oracle is not consider layoff in his mind.

Would be a lot easier if oracle did what all otjer publicly listed companies do: announce layoffs in advance. Look at Cisco and Ford most recently.

There is no evidence that 20k people are going to be RIFed. It's all made up. Even a couple of K people leaving Oracle is regular attrition. People like the stir it up when there's no evidence. It's all pretend so don't fall for the fakenews.
