Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Should i give second thought staying back in Cisco or quit immediately and join other.

Need a suggestion/advice:

I Just survived 2 LRs first in August and second now (probably saved). My team in DCG BU was badly impacted in august and this time as well. I am not feeling lucky being saved rather more tensed now, i got one offer from one Cloud/SDN domain (medium scale) company with good hike .

Should i give second thought staying back in Cisco or quit immediately and join other.

When the opportunity knocks, take it. Because when sh-- hits the fan, that very same opportunity that you passed will not

When my entire team was canned. It took

Me many months to land a position. It's

And making much more. I do more as well.

I am being asked by Cisco recruiters if I

Wanted to return? Why bother?

Cisco needs to learn to identify talent,

Train and keep them or shut this sinking

Ship down by divesting the products.

if you have been at cisco for a few years and you are feeling tense, then you should move on if you have a good opportunity for further career development without the stress. Although you should search for other opportunities as well to get some options and a pulse what companies are willing to pay for your skill set. Force yourself into a tough decision between to good opportunities. By the way, you will almost always get more money after you leave Cisco.
