A VP in India after 22 years of service in Oracle kicked out. Looks like India leadership will undergo major overhaul this time.

Indian team is the best group of people I know....I'm not from India and never met a group of really cool and supportive colleagues ever. No kidding.

@1hbi this is quite surprising to me because Poland is usually classified as low cost country - similar like Romania.
How many people would lose their jobs in Poland and what departments ?
lol yeah why because Oracle doesn't care, they also close offices and big layoffs in Poland another low cost country, before you know it Romania will get layoffs as well.
That's normal. Oracle also cut most people in Beijing office in Jan.
Which org?
Oracle mantra is clearly out with old people (age wise and those who've been around a while) and on with new young people. Just look at how LE treats his Admins, in with young and beautiful out as they get a touch older. Age discrimination to the max
The VP laid off was fast tracker was VP for 10 + years.... Kicking him out was to send signals to leadership in India to trim.
why? Indian is the most low cost area. We just cut lots in US and hire more in India
