I got my package in the last round of LR and found a job within a month with a Cisco competitor. Almost a year later I gotta say the LR was the best thing that happened to me at Cisco. Get out of the sinking boat while you can!

I agree. I was there almost 9 years and was afraid to leave. The first few were amazing, but the the last few were bad and the last 2 were unbearable. I was laid off last Aug and was shocked how which I found a better job. I always look d passively, but as soon as I was pushed out the nest and forced to look, I was SHOCKED how many BETTER opportunities there were. I was comfortable at Cisco but once I realized that wasn't real, I left and hit the actual job market and up elevator again.
Career advice:
Never work for a company that gets rid of free food or water again. If they can't afford water and potato stix, there are dying and time to go. Doesn't matter how comfortable. There's plenty of growing companies.
Serious question, why don't you devs and sales people go elsewhere? If I hear a good valid reason, I'll consider hiring you.
