Explain your Work Enviroment

Out of curiosity can you please explain the enviroment in your store? I am trying to get a sense of what it is generally like in a store.

For example, yesterday I went to Tools to take care of a quick cycle count. When I arrived, the CSA ran to break with no coverage, in the middle of doing a reset for DeWalts. Literally carts full of DeWalts with no one around. I asked the Manager on Duty who was covering the area, he had no idea that the CSA was even at break. It's ridiculous how poorly managed this store is.

Everyone is TIRED, sometimes we're slow but normally we are running around with 3 or 4 tasks to complete and then stop and help customers. You can maybe go a week or even a month (if you can see the end) with minimal breaks. However the body can only take so much before moral takes a nose dive and without a break you can't think straight and do your job properly.

Hostile work environment. We had the meeting at our store last week that supposedly took place throughout the company. Market Director was there, other management from the Market, Etc. That day my manager walks the store handing out tasks to ensure he looks good to his boss and such... So, being the opener having tasks and helping customers I had forgotten to do the IRP.... Next day the store manager calls me with an attitude as to why IRP didn't get done, I reflected his attitude back at him and explained it was an accident and that I was assisting customers and completing other tasks he had given... He literally marched out of his office and told me to follow him to the side of the building (where there is no cameras) so he could "take care of" me... I'd call this a flat out threat from a manager wouldn't you? These guys are so f---ed 😂
