Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Manufacturing jobs in GE Power

While manufacturing jobs in GE Power are considered untouchable for GE according to them, many inside believe that GE is going to have to start cutting white-collar jobs, as they are losing millions of dollars everyday.

Upper management are worried about their stocks, and it is only a matter of time until the engineers within start to get on the chop block, especially with this 7HA.02 mishap.

Engineers, especially in the Greenville SC, Houston, and Atlanta areas. I am pretty sure that these 3 locations were hit in the March cut, and hearing that there will be more, unless something goes right for Immelt, in Fall 2017.

Start? My group lost over 30% of us to layoffs already this year. That's 1 in 3, gone. They can only pull out that rabbit a couple more times and there will be no white collar jobs left to cut. Many of us who remain are looking for our next job already, and most are nervous enough that it is affecting our performance.
