Just out of curiosity has anyone else heard this speech from their store manager when it comes to talking about money ?.... of course we store level employees are underpaid and undervalued,so I had 2 different conversations with 2 store managers about struggling and being able to pay bills. Ironically both of them had similar responses when I asked them. Their response was that they chose to relocate and now they have 2 mortgages to pay and still have a family back home that they need to take care of and other things. From what I heard straight out of an ASM mouth was that they pay for store manager's relocation and give them extra money for relocating. They try to tell this BS story about knowing the struggle,but when I bring up the fact they received more money for doing it,they look at me dumbfounded. They come up with bogus excuses about driving from here to here and having to eat and take care of their families and I'm like you don't think I have the same struggle 5 times worse than you. They can eat as store managers and as store level employee I have debate whether to eat or make sure I can get back and forth to work.

They do pay you to relocate. (Or they did a few years back, at least.) I was an ASM about 5 years ago and they paid me to relocate. I had to agree to stay with the company at least one year or else I'd have to pay back the relocation money.
I heard that Sears does pay for the managers to relocated, I think it depends on the mileage.
Sounds like " Bull " to me.
Sears hasn't and does not pay for relocating expense, excepting a trip now and then on a private jet with " Eddie L. " as the only passenger -- and then limits those travel expenses for " Fast Eddie " from Florida to Vegas to four times each week.
