Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Make the numbers and show growth

The plan is to move all functions possible (Business Development, Business Management, Business Services, Communications, Public Relations, Customer Support, Customer Service, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, HS&E, Human Resources, Payroll, Information Technology, Integrated Supply Chain, Legal, Marketing, Procurement, Sales, Six Sigma, Training, Research & Development, Technology) hire low cost English speaking employees from low wage countries (India, China, Mexico, etc.) or H1B employees to preform these functions on the ground in the US and Europe (an other high cost countries).

This is the easiest way to consistently make the numbers and show growth. This is planned to occur gradually, one employee, function and business at a time, over the 5-year time line. This type employee attrition over time accomplishes objective with as little disruption and awareness as possible.

Many report already being able to see the effects within own business based on overseas hiring of the English speaking employee work force from (India, China and Mexico) targeted profile being hired and investment shifting to low cost countries. It was blue collar jobs being targeted, now it's white collar job.

Correct. It started in 2002-2003 at Phoenix Engines Aero sites. A large percentage of manufacturing jobs AND the associated white collar support functions have been moved to Mexicali, Chihuahua, Puerto Rico and HAO in the Czech Republic.

Great observation!, Captain obvious. You must be new to Honeywell, as this has been the game plan for the last 15 years!

While the game is almost over for most of business units, don't despair, Honeywell will continue to show growth through acquisitions, as there area always more companies to buy and drain the blood out of. Great for share holders, S---s for employees.
