Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Two more weeks of suspence in india not sure why

Many of the teams in UCS/data center had All hands meetings with their Second line managers or directors saying they will announce impacted employee's list in 2 weeks time frame.. not sure whts going on in their mind.

The logic was given as if they declare names by May end then as per 2 month payroll on Cisco ,employee will leave July 31 , which will eventually make them entitled for PLI bonus .

is it justifiable ? or something is cooking up..

Good part is you don't have to worry about your performance...not sure that is considered for LR anymore.

I got hit last September. My bonus payout was about a third of what I would normally get.

The suspense continues either ways i.e If you are LR'd, you wouldn't know the reason as to why you were in the hit list and if you don't get LR'd, you wouldn't know what to do next..until the next LR!! ;)

Not really any point in speculating.

I was impacted by the Aug 2016 LR, and other than being LRed, Cisco treated me reasonably well. I did get my full bonus in Sept, and last month I got my 401k true-up for 2016, even though I've been gone from Cisco since Sept 19th.

There's a lot of mystery as to how people are ranked, and how people are selected for LR, but, at least in my case, Cisco didn't do anything sneaky, underhanded, or unethical.
