Lay offs and social networking site updates by Execs

While the employees are sh-- scared about their existence and eagerly awaiting updates, some of the execs are shamelessly posting their golfing and exotic vacations photos along with a champagne bottle on social networking sites. Am I blessed to be part of the Cisco family ?

"Meet the Exec" is a way to stroke the ego of the Execs, and give brown nosers, for which there are thousands in Cisco a chance to say, "Hey Bonnie, I love water skiing too!"

I never understood the "meet the exec" thing. What do they think we worship them and want to know everything about them? Do they think that we all want to be just like them? I am sure there are some ambitious people who slavishly love on them. It takes a real ego to think that anyone gives a hoot about your personal life if they don't know you personally.

Cisco executives lack the intellectual capacity to read and understand an engineering document. It's very much as Scott Adams portrayed in his Dilbert comic: http://dilbert.com/strip/2014-09-21

I was LR'd back in Oct 2014. I thank my former sh--sco manager every day!!!! Nothing like working for another employer who really cares about you. There is life out there, don't let chucky and johnny ruin your life.

Always enjoyed the Monthly "Meet the Exec" article posted on CEC. Always loved seeing them at their exotic vacations, loving life. Meanwhile, I'm slaving away to convert a engineering requirements doc into powerpoint b/c my engineering VP can only attend meetings with powerpoint. God help you if you don't have a powerpoint, make them a dashboard so they can see the stats/graphs in real time.

I swear, I've never seen so much powerpoint in my entire life.
