Any chance this new benefit term (ending 12/31/17 and moving to a calener year) has anything to do with cuts? Seems strange to move to an entirely new system in the middle of all these other changes.

Makes sense. Thanks for sharing.
The changes were made to the plan year because Aetna is on a Jan-Jan beneft year, so when merger planning was happening, these changes were being anticipated and planned to get us in line with Aetna. When the merger was called off, the changes were thought to still be a good move, so the planning continued. They dont have anything to do with layoffs.
I guess that the fact that benefits didn't have a cost increase is the only bright spot right now. It is hard not to wonder and speculate.
Oh, I agree much of what is on here comes to fruition! But ultimately very few of us have an insider telling us what's going on... so it's more of everyone trying to read between the lines. I certainly agree that everything going on is reason to be suspicious.
To the last poster I would call things on this site speculation... everything I've read since day one has come true
Just like everything on this site, it's speculation! But it seems to make more sense than anything to do with layoffs. It is for all employees not just HAH.
How do the AFA plans affect associate benefits?
I imagine it has to do with the official termination of all Affordable Care Act plans. But that's not to say there won't be more layoffs. Ive felt like everyone should be looking for other work since the first layoff.
