To all worthless people who want to be engineers or managers. we welcome pathetic people and slap ridiculous titles on them so they come to qualcomm to do things like check facebook all day. And check the stock markets. HR is too busy in cabo san lucas so even if your degree is printed in the back of a chocolate bar we will accept it.

Some of the most useless people I know at the Q have advanced degrees, and a lot of the H1b's have masters but don't know crap.
I remember sitting in a meeting and a VP (one of the few good ones) was there. A principle with a EE from a very good school derided another engineer (who wasn't at the meeting) about his degree being from a party school, and the VP went off the guy. It was fun to watch. Shame that VP is gone and that worthless principle is still here.
I don't think there is a job in Q that really needs a degree, everything I learned in school past the very basics was outdated years ago. All you really need is smarts and drive to do any job here, and a degree doesn't give you either, and the Q focus on degrees (in large part as an H1b filter where a cracker Jack box masters degree from Mumbai is taken over a US citizen with a BSEE) has coincided with a loss of innovation and excellence.
Don't be such degree snobs, and mind your own business. If they are there without a degree, they deserve to be there.
Let's check the HR degrees - where the degrees are from and when they were received. Heard head of HR didn't have degree most of her career and it is not from a good school - notice it is omitted from any biographical info about her
I saw the Quality Engineer degree Printed at the back of a styrofoam plate
