How Much Is Coba for Health Insurance

I have the Anthem PPO for a family and I heard it's around $1400 per month(health insurance only, not including vision or dental) for up to 18 months. Just wanted to check and see if that's accurate. Anticipating a gap of a few months between my next job so any info helps. Thanks.

If you look at box 13 on your W-2 you can see the amt paid for your insurance, so that should be in the territory of what your COBRA will cost.

Was laid off in April as "retirement eligible". That just means if you want the privilege of Vz coverage after the COBRA window closes prepare to cough up about 34k a year for spouse + family. That price does however include the mandatory dental coverage.

Medical costs will eat up the severance pay in no time.

I was told it would be about $28,000 per year for family coverage as a Verizon wireless retiree.
