Too bad no one had the balls to call him out at the summit. You all come here to cry about it like pu$$ies.

If anyone recorded this it should be posted. Even for vz, I doubt senior leadership would buy into his comments. Maybe he's done?

im tired of hearing about the 5G crap because there arent any market ready devices to use it with. And you know verizon cant build one.

Another 3 billion for this company, another 1.7 billion for that one. Meanwhile you spent half your day trying to come up with ways to save 17 cents a year

Sounds like a leader who lacks a moral compass.

Seems like the executive board wants people to believe "the tail is wagging the dog" . When you breathing your last breath and running short on oxygen you lose your sense of reality......

If the employees failed it was due to poor management. Good management knows how to manage and makes the difference. Perfect example of how sh-- rolls down hill.........

Vz is selling their over priced product to who,their network is the best,lol tge others have caught up and out pricing vz,hum is garbage who is going to pay $40-50 a month to tell me i need an oil change or that i have a misfire code..really they need to advance their 5 g serv ASAP in order to survive

It takes so much more talent to sell today than it did yesterday. (yesterday = four to six years ago. The "golden years" of cellular...) I am a top performer in my store. I sacrifice myself everyday to certifiably crazy people (i.e. Pretty much everybody). If the OP's post is accurate I am enraged. We deal with unbelievable b---s---. Most of us have to seek psychological leave. I was soooo loyal to Verizon.

Maybe T Mobile will buy VZ

Look at Comcast's stock. When L Mac took the helm they were trading well below us.

They have passed us up and recently had a Split!

All while we stay @ 40-50 range......

What does that tell you...... Comcast's workers are better than us?

Vz passing the buck as usual,never ending story ,and at the end the employees and lower manegment get screwed,same old story..WAKE UP vz before your boat hits the bottom of the ocean cause your already taking on alot of water and sinking fast

Blockbuster?????? Really????? Sounds like TJ might be trying to deflect some guilt. Stock has been down for years and results are awful. Tell me again who isnt to blame?

Let me tell you a story here. Around 14 years ago, our CEO was saying "I don't know what to do with you guys. I don't know how to make money off you guys."

At that moment, first, I appreciate him having the honesty to say that. Second, in my mind, isn't it his job to figure out how to make money off us? and he was asking us back then?

So, he sold us to a private equity firm for 1.5 billion. I thought we were so screwed. The private equity firm hire a new CEO, the new CEO stripped our benefits except 401k and healthcare (there wasn't much left anyways, and our moral hit rock bottom) , but gave us stock options. 14 years later, this new company worth 100 billion and we all got paid by the stock options if we stick around for the whole duration.

The beatings will continue until morale improves!

What do you expect? Leadership to hold themselves accountable? You take an extremely successful company and destroy it over a 5 year period to what we have today - a turd they keep trying to polish with "better matters" massively in debt.

Leadership has no one to blame but themselves but Verizon leadership culture is to rule by fear, never admit you messed up and punished the front line for your failures.

Blockbuster was taken out by the cable companies not the lack of work from the grunt employees you can't compare antiquated technology with lack of enthusiasm. Funny!

I was there...what he said was that Leadership comes up great ideas and its the employees fault for not running with these "great" ideas. Leadership wasn't responsible for the crash and burn of Blackberry or Blockbuster but the actual employees. Yeah Right TJ keep on projecting.
