Happy Friday! Did you work your minimum 40 hours this week?
Personal knowledge of summer hours for several years at CAG was proof that mgmt did not watch what time people came and went. People kept the same schedule every single day and left early on Friday.
The better gig is the 4 day work week in IT and summer fridays. More than 50% of the IT staff that had to do a one day mandatory commute day per week really only took care of their yard, dr appts, and oil changes to name a few on the TC day. Several dozen people were known to just jack around or go play golf. It was a complete and total joke.
Careful a company troll is reading this.
Since we don't punch time cards some people here in Omaha think this is an easy cheat.
They forget that your company badge is used to get you into and exit out of the parking lots.
The times are recorded and can be used against you.
I guy I know was fired using that information.
Not putting his 8 hours at his desk without permission.
One guy I know does it all year long. And no one in Management has never figured it out!
Can't tell you the number of people I know that abuse this perk. On Monday through Thursday they arrive at work at the same time as usual and leave at the same time as usual. No attempt to work extra hours. Then they leave 3 hours early on Friday. So they only work 37 hours (maybe) during the week.
Nice perk but abused a lot
