It seems to be true. Clicking on an advertisement on this Chevron Corporation Layoff board traces your real IP address. If you are using a VPN client app to circumvent detection of your IP address, making the mistake of clicking an ad will trace your real IP back to you. Be careful. If you have done this by mistake, get out at once and initiate a new VPN session.

Instead of looking for the "ads by Google" as your sign of trust, why not just use an abundance of common sense? Don't click on the ads, stupid.
All y'all should be using Ad Block Plus already! Plus VPN of course!
Every single one I see has "ads by Google" stamp. So, it's safe here as much as on any other site.

Seriously, OP? I see only standard Google ads here, I seriously doubt they (Google) would violate yours (or the any other of their billion customers') privacy in any way.
