In my region there would be some bidders for the Marshall Fields trademark. I'm sure in STL there would be some for Famous-Barr. Thoughts?

There is an idea being floated that will have us giving land leases on our parking lots for things such as restaurants and coffee shops. Problem is, we intend to find a way to work with said concerns to draw shoppers from them. It's not going to happen. If we lease the land, allow something such as a family restaurant to build, the likelihood of the family shopping after dinner slim.

Why? Families today want the experience of dining out. Then they want to go home, enjoy their abode and order what they want online, usually from Amazon.

There's a reason Amazon bought Whole Foods. The demographics of each almost exactly match. Amazon integration into WF is going to revolutionize grocery. Amazon doesn't want to revolutionize existing brick/mortar retail. They want to kill it, then resurrect it in their own form.
