@O19mD4I-2olb, I'll tell you why I stay here. I'm retiring in less than a year and don't really want to look around for another job for a short period of time. I'd really like this last year at my current salary to cement my retirement position. But if I get WFRed before this final year is over, so be it, I have several options I can pursue, including starting drawing down my EDS pension a little earlier than I planned and working part time somewhere. So I guess in a way you can say I'm staying here because I'm feeling sort of lazy about looking for another job at my age. I know that I'm lucky that I'm in a position to do that if the need arises. I don't really like DXC, so will not mind at all when its time to leave, either by retiring or being booted out the door.

You're right, I left out the fact I was told back in May to train so and so (in India) on my job duties without a single word otherwise that I was training my replacement. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the situation from there. I had a 1 on 1 with my manager a week later where I asked point blank if I was training my replacement and he had no idea that was happening (he being my admin manager, not functional). A week after that he got back to me and said indeed I was on the way out and my functional manager was preparing for the transition. Definitely speak up and call the shots like they are people to get yourselves a leg up!

@O19mD4I-3oej, good for you it worked out. I'm in disbelief that how they handled the "non notifucation" while on vacation, then again I'm not surprised given that's the current stage ( or has been in the past few years) of how disorganized this company has become.

I can just see how MW and ML seating all day looking at the artificially inflated stocks to ensure their stock options values go up as more WFRs impacting hundreds if not thousands of people and their family. There is a striking similarity of present and past "dictators" in history ... MW already worths over $2 billion, she wants more "blood" $$...

O19mD4I-3oej The only US teams being prenotified are the ones training their replacements be thankful most of us are blindsided.

good luck to you too! I am so happy this works out for you.

I hope to be on a WFR soon but in my country they did not start yet with the massive layoffs that take place in other countries.

I am not able to work for a company that treats his employees like this.

Lots of good luck in your new company!

I was technically a 6/29 notification, however I was supposed to be gone last Friday (6/23). It so happened I was burning through my vacation time and was approved to be out 6/22 so my notification was SUPPOSED to be delayed a week. This gem of a company however sent me a final direct deposit and paycheck on 6/23 without any formal notification. My managers were appalled HR would do such a thing. So I got an extra week at DXCs expense in the end, last day yesterday 6/30, and so happy to be out! Bottom line is I'm grateful for my manager letting me know informally weeks ago I was on the way out. I know people scream about how awful management is blah blah, but as in any position if your professional and courteous, you should be treated the same in turn.

The icing on the cake is I was able to be interviewing over the past month and received an awesome job offer yesterday, my last with DXC. My managers were very happy for me and did not spare words on their displeasure with how things are going at DXC. Good luck everyone, don't wait to start the job hunt!!!

Not rumors but it is a fact that US support positions are being moved to Puerto Rico.

When CSC purchased a company called Axon Puerto Rico in late 2015 it was stated that a major factor for the purchase was the availability of near shore US citizens at a fraction of the cost of stateside resources.

All you have to do is keep track of all the people flat out running from this Titanic. More money, better positions. Why the f stay here??? I don't get why people stay in this crap hole. Management I get, they could not con another company to pay them as much as they do here, but employees - people wake up!!

Not the US, but, I understand that over 100 were hit in Costa Rica. Also hearing rumors that a lot of support is being moved to Puerto Rico which would directly impact US staff providing US-Only support. I don't imagine that they would keep the US based staff around when they can replace them with staff in Puerto Rico for a fraction of the cost.

I've been told (from reliable source, high-up PM person) there are WFRs every week but not from every group / organization.... so most of us are not aware unless we're told by whoever got hit. Or someone from their group. But yes there are WFRs for sure every single week.
