Bless this post! I've been with VZW for 22 years. I make a lot of money, my benefits are excellent, my boss and team are amazing and I get to work from home when I need to. Is my job sometimes not perfect? Yes. Do I sometimes question our decisions? Yes. But I will never talk crap about Verizon or my leadership because that's just sh--ty.

Really...if you are that unhappy, find another job. Spreading the negativity and hate will not resolve your issue of hating your job.

I sold all my vz stock and got into the stock market 100% when the stock was 54$. What is the bottom amount of vz stock? 30 bucks? Yikes...

I've watched this company move from being professional and competent to a mess. There was a time where talent was cultured, actively trained, and helped to grow.

Now it's become a sad parody of corporate culture where the business is secondary to individual battles between senior people who take credit for the work of others, and lay blame for their failures on others.

Probably the best example of is Marni's organization, where Angiolet and Guru have left the company with no useful business pipeline. Go90 is emblematic of her lack of leadership, and letting weak and narcissistic SVPs flail.

So now the company is panic mode, and the stock price proves it.

I think you have to keep in mind many of us have been here for 20 years or more and watxhed the company spiral down and many things have changed and not for the best. The culture bas become depressing and toxic. Has nothing to do with benefits. People cant always just keave without a package.

Thank you Lowell for the pep talk. I admire how you stand up for your bloated, over compensated, under performing leadership team.

With that being said retail is utterly worthless and has outlived its usefulness. They all should be getting Walmart wages for the bone headed job they have.

How could anyone object to the logic of this post? It was eloquently stated, showed substantial empathy, contained classy language, cited overwhelming statistical evidence to support what type of people are in retail, and contained all of the key components that prompt behavioral change in the reader.
