My guess is some stores are stocked for a reason... And others aren't. I'm willing to bet which one is closing next and is simply winding down.

They don't have any more detail because it didn't happen. They're just stirring the pot & have nothing else to do than make up stuff that isn't true as these people were still working yesterday in these stores.

Cant be true. Would not be smart to make moves like this before a holiday (July 4th). Also, moves like this are done company wide at the same time.
