Isn't that what people were saying when the post came about the corporate layoffs, people, please get your heads out of the sand.
Maybe, BK on 7/10 is a bit aggressive but it's coming...anyone who thinks that cutting costs to a skeleton crew when sales for comparable stores are down considerably year over year just has their head in the sand. This a real estate deal waiting to happen. The only hold up may be the Supreme Courts decisiton on 6/27 to review a case in which the loans Eddie made might or might not be considered as equity or debt, depending on the Courts decision. Otherwise, 7/8 when the 200+ Sears stores sold to Seritage are fee and clear from any bankrupcty action it's just a matter of time....I'm not even sure Chapter 11 will be the end, I think that will be a step to Chapter 7.
OP is probably a laid off employee who likes to poke the bees nest as a form of vengeance. If this were true the OP would be providing sources. I have been seeing this type of post every week for the last few months/years. Bankruptcy will come but on the first business day after clearing forebearance just seems like something only someone who is telling lies would say. Move on
Don't turn against one another. Associates are just worried. No one, other than non associates, want bad things to happen to our company. I understand the concern. I think pension plans are somewhat protected. The idea of severance pay probably is non existent IF Sears Holdings ever files for bankruptcy.
I read it in a stock market analysis... called seeking alpha .... I am not trying to spread rumours i am a long-time sears employee that just wants answers to whats going on with the company i have spent more then half my life working for ..... i want my money that i have believe i have earned so i can leave this dying company

Just read .... sears will likely file for chapter11 on monday july 10 .... so likely screw everyone with a pension ... you are right this company right now is extremly the pits to work for
The whole simple store process is a joke, more like disaster.. it's like shopping at big lots nothing is in order now. Don't know how we can cut more and stay open.. I was told to cut 200 a day on top of the 1500 already cut this week.. and they are set on it. Normally I just ignore the budget until the DM whines and moans but they are very serious about saving every last penny.. 1500 dollars in guaranteed savings, you kidding me!! Why not have and actual ad for customers I'm sure we could more than make up for it if we had people to help customers.. this company has become miserable to work for. Used to be a great company. The last 2 years have been the worst I've ever seen.
