Most Recent Commission Action:

June 22, 2017: To reject the complex substantive change request because of insufficient information and evidence conducive to Commission review. The institution may resubmit the request after additional information needed to complete the review can be made available. To remind the institution of the need for prior approval through complex substantive change of any plans for change in legal status, form of control, or ownership. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2021-2022.

Pittsburgh has been put on notice for violation standard 3 (institutional resources). Pittsburgh submitted an substantial change application to attach the 4 ACICS schools. In order for the accreditor to sign off on the accreditation, Pittsburgh must show institutional resources I.e. Financials

@srr, that isn't the complete story. The two AIs were asked for additional information about the change, which they will be permitted to resubmit.

This is legit information. When you go the link click on “Institutions” then click on the letter A and look for Art Institutes. The request was denied on June 27 2017.
