I had a manager for over 3 years who berated, exploded and criticized me to my face and behind my back to others. There was quite a list of names of associates in the store who had similar experiences. I finally had enough and emailed the HR Manager and the Ops Manager that I refused to work with him any longer. Neither bothered to contact me. The lack of care for the people who actually work in the store is astonishing. Fortunately I found an SM who was happy to have me in her department. So refreshing to work with people who treat each other well.

You should relate information to solutions in store and use the words :felt attacked by and discriminated against. They listen to those few words very carefully because that triggers the lawyers ears.
Thanks for sharing this ME - this resembles my experience, almost 100%. It was such a bad situation, I almost left the company as I was not able to handle the abuse any more. Just like in your case, things worked out and I was able to transfer to a different department. I hope all worked out for you as well...
