Fake news, bruh
Mother of all cash burns.
$25M is nothing compared to $30 BILLION for Altera+Mobileye. That's 1200 Murthys.
BK is even torching $400M for some stupid Olympic branding deal, while the smart brands (McDonald's) are pulling out. 16 Murthys.
How about $150M for Basis smart watches that burn you (literally). 6 Murthys.
$8 BILLION for Mcafee with no clear business case or ANY due diligence. 320 Murthys.
$700M for Cloudera - underwater of course. 28 Murthys.
Let's not forget the$10 BILLION dollars torched pursuing mobile apps processors. 400 Murthys.
The value destruction at Intel is astonishing.
We need a Carl Icahn or Gordon Gecko to come in and take over. Gut the company for parts and give the shareholders some ROI for a change.
BK and his clown crew need someone watching over the cookie jar.
Agree @wlg. Once you turn your culture into competing with itself rather than your true competitors, it's almost impossible to turn around.
As we have qtrly and yearly cuts, that's all anyone will focus on. Survive. Or if you're good and have guts, leave.
That leaves a culture of survivor island. Keep the money coming. Hit my retirement goals. Phuck the company and its ridiculous goals.
Cars will make intel great! Total value of ICs in a car is what 300-400 bucks spread among 200-300 chips. Automotive manufacturers can't wait to adopt intel hardware and pay intel 100x more. Sorry BMW and others aren't that stupid BK!
Don't worry, Aicha's got this.
😂 My sides
He forgot the $15 billion dollar price tag on Mobileye

The list while incomplete is enlightening as how much is spent across crazy span. Many of the areas have huge and singular focused and well funded competitors, which does Intel have any competive advantage.
When you do the analysis you quickly figure out intel is past the tipping point and a whole lot of serious change far beyond the weenie secret ACT of 2015 and miss guided and demoralizing ACT of 2016 is required. It will be truely ugly more drastic ACTs required thru this and the next couple years.
When this is all over BK and the BoD will be a HBR case study for history on epic failure from epic richness.
