@045 if there are stores with tense and angry staff that is clearly a an indicator that it is being Mis Managed. Times are tough it's the managers job to be there for their associates and guide them through it and also be a sounding board. If managers are not taking on that roll they should be gone too. Engaged employee's happy with their manager produce results. There are many tenured SMs who are just as bitter as the associates about all the changes, they should step away too.

Be very careful of how these reports are interpreted. They are the first tool for use by upper management to thin the herd. You have been warned. The turf wars are about to start. If you're feeling comfortable in your position, I would rethink that.

These new reports are designed to begin conversations with SMs that are intended to increase pressure to perform and get associates to perform. The pressure to produce is intended to flow downward, in an attempt to increase sales, credit penetration, etc.

Here's what will really happen...rapidly increased stress and aggravation, SA turnover (many won't tolerate it) and SM RIF.

Meetings that helped create these new reports have resulted in a belief that if we increase management pressure to perform, numbers will go up. I have strongly suggested that this will backfire, given the state of the floor in many stores. I know many a store has a tense and angry staff manning the floor. It's not good.

If that's the case why don't they say that? And have a scorecard for reflecting that? How many months do they need to make that happen. If we took that long they would have us on a rbp.

You will be reviewed on your shop and store results.

My thoughts exactly- isn't it very awkward and fishy?
