I did a job for facebook one time, I thought I was in a college dorm. Bottles of whiskey and guitars lying around, rooms named after Seinfeld episodes. Nice kitchen and plenty of couches. Meanwhile at Verizon you have to hide the coffee-maker. That says it all doesn't it?
Granted facebook employees are probably a bit more talented than the average Verizon worker, but a coffee maker, microwave, and table and chairs in a break room are not too much to ask. They might even have that in minimum security prisons! Maybe a couch. What a ridiculous fear-based management style Verizon has developed over the last several years. What good has it really done?
I think Up to Speed is very valuable and is hip and cool.

Up to speed is the biggest piece of steaming garbage and everyone on there seems extremely fake. 99% of those up to speed emails get deleted without being watched so the viewership rates are similar to GO90.
