Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

who is next?

as a 20 year employee, wondering which department is next for the hatchet? low moral in my office, with the MOI unit wiped out, multiple field techs gone. customer service is down the tubes.

I pay premiums for someone to look at my car, not take pictures myself. doubt they will lower premiums now that customers are doing part of the work.

Where do the people who have heard about the July 18th announcement work? I am in a MCO and have heard nothing.

With how they laid off people in a very secretive manner on June 14, I really doubt the July 18 announcement will be for layoffs. Remember, "impacted" (laid off) employees were emailed an invite the DAY BEFORE to join a conference call that was mandatory. No explanation, just be on the call. Moments before the conference call those same soon to be laid off employees were sent notifications through text and email that a FedEx package would be arriving. Making a big announcement for all to see would be contrary to the "feel good" kool aid shapiro is trying to get the claims dept to drink. And the other departments are even more clueless, exactly what upper management wants. Again I'd be really surprised if anything like that happens in the upcoming announcement, when the next round of layoffs hit (I predict/guess in 4 quarter) employees will be blind sighted again.

So what is happening July 18th, our fearless leader announced that there were no more layoffs in the forseeable future. LOL

Most admin/processing staff with 10 years or more tenure make more than starting adjusters at Allstate. Yeah the company would like nothing more than to offload that obligation. It's coming. Post before mine is on the money.

It's no secret mgt has wanted to offload admin and processing staff that is redlined and has had a frozen hourly wage for years. Admin staff at Allstate make more than 90% of entry level adjusters at most carriers. By years end will let go of processors and replace with outsourcing, centralized support, and of course Genpact offshoring.

More than likely property will be next. The worst part is nobody will know until the day before layoffs are announced as what happened with auto.
