From what I've heard this leak orginated from an executive who was let go in the last round. HR and LP will be let go which is similar to what HD did several years ago. They are retiring Specialist. They will become CSA5. Will not loose pay.

They wont tell you anything until you are let go.

You will have little to no notice.

Evolve was the theme from this year's NSM so as much as I think it would be a bad decision to eliminate all of the rumored positions that we're hearing, at the same time I wouldn't be surprised. Just do it already.

This rumour started on Topix on June 17th by some troll who goes by p--ptart. The round of restructuring that happened at begining of the year was leaked online on the very same forum over 2yrs before it happened. I highly doubt that Lowes will eliminate half of its store positions within 6 months after the last shakeup.

CSA5 is a temporary class. At the end of the fiscal that job title dies and anyone in it is unemployed. If specialists go to CSA5 they will have six months would be my guess. However I was told by my HRM that she was on a conference call with the RVP of our market and he said nothing was happening with specialist. Is it that he does not know? Or is he being misleading to keep the troops calm.. Either way you slice it the days of us high paid specialists will end up coming to an end. Most of us are still drawing a fairly hefty allowance and unless we get cut they have no way to justify taking that away. Brace for impact fellow specialists. The sea is getting rocky

Of course Specialists will lose pay. It's all about the money. If they were going to not lose pay just call them specialists again and all this worry would be gone. Our store DID have a meeting with the specialists and their jobs are going away. They will be demoted and paid way less money. Whether that's for a year like DM's or longer I can't say.

HD removed Department Managers and brought back Department Supervisors didn't they?? We do copy them a lot but we also are in financial trouble compared to them. Removing Department Managers for them was the easy way to remove some of the old department managers and bring in new blood and life. They will go back to it again I believe once this fails long enough. Then hire new ones.

In other words a non-credible potentially disgruntled executive looking to screw with his/her previous employer. I've already posted in several times but might as well say it again. Lowe's loves to copy Home Depot and if eliminating LP and HR was a massive mistake for them just look at the fact that HD reversed course fairly quickly on LP and created a big HR fiasco called the Associate Advice and Counsel Group I don't see Lowe's making the same mistakes.
