We have 4 Aerospace VP's coming to Tucson 7/7/17 to find out why we have so many Engineers leaving. It should be fun.

And more will continue to leave if incompetent VPs and top leadership fail to do their job. They should all be put on the pip.

Typical dog and pony show. The dogs come to the site to ride the ponies into the ground.

Hon holds license, cert, designs. Writes check to Celestica for labor. Should be skeleton crew of Hon folks in Tucson, same as Toronto. If there is field issue, still Hon responsibility. Dont think Hon would sell just Tucson. A sale would likely be all RO if it happened.

People are leaving Cambridge because of 4 day weeks. People can't afford to work here anymore.

I thought the sell to Celestica (i think that's the company) was already done.

They might come back? That's funny since leadership and HR are scrutinizing anyone who was a Band 4 and above who left Honeywell and then actually wants to come back. Maybe they think the person was disloyal and shouldn't be welcomed back if they already jumped ship.

Today's Tucson Engineering Meeting.

1) Unicorns and rainbows are coming soon.

2) Only you have control on whether you are happy at Honeywell.

3)Honeywell, is one big family- no us and them.

4)Yes, we have had a high level of attrition, but they might come back..........

The same stuff we have heard every year.

It might be more instructive to ask every employee why he remains on the job. Duh.

You mean Oro Valley Honeywell? My son was there in rel group Apr 2016 after got hit in Jan 2016 layoff Glendale Az, and quit after 2 weeks to go work at Orbital. They treat you like McD workers in Tucson. Say you punch in at 8 and out at 4:30 . No flex time the same day . 30min lunch break and they have no cafeteria . You take 45 min and try to stay 15 min longer at end of day and the boss rakes you a--. His boss, a woman in Canada treats us employees as slaves . His mentor at the site was supper paranoid . You get up to go to bathroom and he asks you "where you going? " Allied Signal mentality.

Please keep us abreast of what happens in Tuscon today. I can't wait to hear the b---s--- and excuses on why things are the way they are. Doesn't matter anyway, the die is cast; HONs days are numbered and nothing short of a sale or complete replacement of incompetent leadershit takes place.

I asked my grossly incompetent asinine mgr if he really thinks I'm incompetent why does he not fire me? His asinine response was....why don't you quit? Unfortunately, these idiots can screw you over with impunity because they've been mandated to do so to someone of their choosing, and if you expose their incompetence.....guess what?

Y'all said leave if you don't like Honeywell. I guess you underestimated how large the number of disgruntled people you have huh? Think you are done bleeding? Not likely! It all boils down to the fact that we are a leaderless company, plain and simple.

In Ottawa we had a VP visit recently with a similar agenda. Why are so many people leaving? Why aren't you guys happy? He was given several issues and either made an excuse for each thing, or said that there was nothing he can do to change it. Just more insulting pretend to care.

Maybe they should visit Raytheon while the are in Tucson to see why the grass is greener there

I retired from Honeywell at the Tucson site this year..they wanted me to fill out a survey about why i was leaving. I asked why in hell they cared, HR didn't give me any exit interview, why would my opinion mean a damn thing. I declined and just left if they do not know by now why people are unhappy then NOTHING i would have said would make a damn bit of difference. I feel for the people still left but, Honeywell does not give a damn about them and NOTHING is going to change to make that any better.

It might be easier to keep engineers, and others, if we are not just considered as a COST to be minimized. Employees are regarded as a necessary evil by leadership.

The tap dancing wil be entertaining. Many a manager has said "if you don't like Honeywell, then leave". So, we are leaving just faster then their plan.

I don't get it. The company does everything it can to encourage people to leave with RIFs/furloughs/no job security. Then they feign concern over people leaving? This is what's wrong with this f---ing place. As another poster had mentioned, you don't need a fancy degree to see why people are leaving. Can you blame them? Of course not but is most convenient fusing is, HON is TRYING to get people to leave as quickly as possible. I think this visit is just subterfuge. They want to know what is making them leave so quickly so they can use those same practices at other sites to encourage faster attrition.

Please everyone remember: Honeywell sees employees as enemies of the bottom line and you are NOT wanted here, particularly if you are based in the United States. Dairyass's wet dream each night is all the employees quitting with no RIF packages to pay out and then outsourcing every single job to the emerging markets folks with no benefits. Then he gets even richer!

It supposedly is only Engineering they are concerned with. It is 3 Engineering VP's. Engineers have left Tucson in droves. No one from ISC/Production is involved in the hall hands or skip levels with these folks. . They have asked many times before why everyone is leaving. This the first time they are actually visiting. Should be fun.

In previous my role with Honeywell, I hosted many VP visits. They will tell the factory floor one thing like we are looking out for you, business is in flux, great job on your HOS Journey and all sorts of warm fuzzy things. But behind close doors they will rip your site leadership team apart like you are not in touch with you factory, why can't you meet the unrealistic metric numbers, and you had better get your act together before our next visit or we will roll you back in HOS! Sounds familiar in Ottawa, Clearwater, Urbana, Norcross, Tempe, Deer Valley or Tucson.

It does not take a university degree to figure it out, but since they most likely have a degree, they'll never figure it out.

Ottawa had three VP's visit the site about a year ago and I heard everything was staged from the minute they walked in. Site leader and production manager rehearsed the entire visit. In fact management went as far as doing dry runs with some of the people on the production floor.

VP's left Ottawa with a good impression. There definitely was and I believe still are a lot of problems in Ottawa. Site leader has since left but production manager is still there and should be held accountable for her actions...I believe it was her job on the line at the time and the reason the VP's visit. This is definitely fraudulent behaviour on her part. VP's need to talk with the employee's alone in privacy to great to the bottom of the real issues.

It will be interesting to see if any actions (other than an icecresm social....they seem to look at their employees as grade schoolers) happen. They still dont realize that the environment they have created is the issue....i.e. Constant layoffs/furloughs, looking to fire employees by department % rather than actual performance, little to NO career planning assistance (all employee driven), little to no contact with your manager because on the global workforse (remember all our communications training...Physical communications is 80%), no manager feedback channels to help mature their managers (managers are only rated on results no matter how abbusive they are, totally dtsfunctional HR department, and I almost forgot....constantly shipping jobs overseas and abusing the H1B laws. Sorry Honeywell but employees dont see a long term future with you anymore......
