I was laid off on Tuesday morning and work at Optum Technology in Innovation, Research, Development. I am not sure how many were let go but at least twenty. From what I understand no formal announcement has gone out yet and it was a variety of people. I had a good performance review, and heard it was not performance based, but at some point a manager has to decide who should go.
My understanding is we were about 12m short so had to recover and there has also been a huge reorganization. It was very poorly handled and morale is very low there now with many people looking for positions elsewhere as a result. We were offered a severance package and encouraged to apply internally for other positions.
