Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Human Resources

I do not see HR being in store past September. In October Lowes gave all salaried employees a raise if they was not at $47,500ish for the overtime law that was supposed to pass. When doing so Lowes did not adjust the scale of the max so in my market which is a B the low is $47,500ish and max is $54,000? My thoughts is that if HR was something try planned on sticking around it would've changed. Also $47,500 makes about 8-10 Pt customer facing associates.

Why didn't Lowes wait until after the overtime law passed before handing out raises? That way if the law didn't pass they wouldn't have to give out money needlessly.

Lowes wants you to work as cheaply as possible so the profits are greater and shareholder value is increased.

It's not about customer service or loving where you live or work, it's about increasing shareholder value.

Dang., maybe why a lot of these folks have been terminated is due to the fact "they" can't spell or compose a readable post. Proof read people or get one of your kids to write the post for you!
