Sadly it is not even 2 or 3 people. It is just one person who submits a negative post and then answers himself several times. You've been outed.

Oh, and for sure you are not a current employee - too many give-aways that you were a 1st-round candidate.

Well gee, I sure don't know why anyone would be bitter or negative.

@OA8v1CD-4luy you're a company "leader" huh? You can try to diminish the people's voices by claiming it's all 1 or 2 people, but we all know better. You have what you want, money, so why not just leave everyone else alone?

@OA8v1CD-4luy, try to get some help, You have a damaged moral core that could destroy your life and your family (if you have any).

It is actually just three people who keep posting and reply to themselves. They give themselves away way too easily.

But great question - why so much bitterness? We fired them all a few rounds ago but they have not been able to find a new job yet and need this as an outlet.

And of course the fact that no other company will touch them couldn't have anything to do with their skill levels, it must all be the ELTs fault.

They even are turned down for holding stop signs for road construction crews.35

@OA8v1CD-2amg " . .whom I've witnessed as a liar, corrupt, and only out for himself. He is a narcissist who cares only about himself"

I recall a former Burlington low level Director exactly as you describe here, left his family and ran off with a contractor,

No way it could be the same person (was not ELT material)

I am happy! I sold all my COP stocks. No longer playing the Big Risk Factor!

Me bitter? Why would I be bitter? The supervisor sleeps with the contractors openly and publically and in the end I am the one without a job.

I have first-hand experience with an ELT member whom I've witnessed as a liar, corrupt, and only out for himself. He is a narcissist who cares only about himself, and everyone else in the company can go to he--. After many years of working for what used to be a great company, I view this board as an opportunity to describe this evil person.

This downturn has hurt a lot of very good people, both professionally and financially. Some careers, again these are very good people, will never recover. The stress doesn't stay at the office, or outside on the long job search road. It comes home too - a lot of family lives are compromised. I know people who have lost friends (you'd have to question how good a friends they were to drop you when you lost your job), families, their dignity and sense of being. Some have committed crimes, both from stress and desperation. Some have taken their lives due to the stress.

That's a general overview. However, thread created, if you were dealing with 1-2 of those, I would imagine your days would be a little less sunny. Just because you're out of work doesn't mean you're "deadwood", a low performer, too this or that. Some who are left just won the job lottery (you aren't that special) some who aren't we're just unlucky

A little understanding goes a long way

How has this been an L48 only exercise? Any idea what other BU's have been through? ever hear of a place called Canada?

Because they achieve headcount reductions by firing workers and protect the nepotistic manager and above levels. If L48 consolidates to one op structure, where will the extra managers go? Not out the door but swapped into a role (any role regardless of expertise) and the worker will be walked out the door.

Perhaps 1 or 2 disgruntled people, but I highly doubt it. Are you just trolling yourself, or did you want a real answer? You wanted the truth? The truth is as described in the answers below. Constant layoffs wear on everyone. Maybe there are a few people still putting in their 8 hours with a smile and feeling overwhelming joy, contentment, a d gratitude for the paycheck. Most, however, are beaten down, half depressed, questioning why they still bother showing up, but wondering what the alternative is. The despair is palpable, and many come on here to vent their "bitterness" and "negativity." They're very real, and very common feelings in this company. And that's the truth. Sorry. If you're looking for a different answer go interview the 1%er management, who, in this company, are actuy more around 30%.

This is thelayoff.com, I think you are looking for thepromotion.com, or perhaps thebigbonus.com.

Or it could be just one or two disgruntled people who endlessly say the same thing. Once in a while a decent question or bit of info pops up but most of it is immature trolling. And yes I left in the last round - and I'm enjoying my life and thankful I had a good paying job with COP and got to work with some very good people.

You are asking why? 4 layoffs and reorganization in less than 2 years, people can only take so much. Imagine worrying about this constantly for 2 years, even Noble peace prize winner will become bitter.

What bothers most of us is this is only L48 and center exercise, other BUs and center exercise will be conducted next year. That means after this sh-- in sept-oct we start worrying about next year. I for one is just waiting for outside offer instead of dealing with endless nonsense.

Also, given what a great company and great culture we had for many years, to end up dying the way we are, at the hands of incompetent managers who care only about themselves, causes bitterness.

If we have to explain, you wouldn't understand. If you work here now, you'd be complaining you were left behind in the toxic culture our "leaders" have created. If you previously worked here and gave your all, but were given a kick to the curb to make space for someone with minimal investment in the company, you'd be complaining. In short, if we have to explain, you haven't worked here and wouldn't understand.
