just like the news on Solaris, InfiniBand, Linux SPARC, John Fowler, and many other were wrong and false rumors (why don't you use "fake news" no more?) until they prove sadly true.
anyway, I must thank you. this site is full of "hypothesis" and "personal conviction" and it is difficult sometimes to understand if there is an informed post, but whenever I see a post like yours showing I understand the news is true.
If the info is wrong, then correct it. Were directors laid off? Any IC5's?

No director went. Some lower level manager went. No IC5 was fired. Some moved. Lots of IC4 went. Most people on visa went.
Ofer being forced out. He lost most his department. ES dont like him or ZFSSA.
Were any directors or VP's let go yesterday, or was it just us peasants and low level managers?
I don't like to spread rumors. So earlier I said it seemed 100% of IRV ZFSSA was cut. That is not true. I don't have a lot of other details.
(I am on this site only because of the gravity of recent events. Generally I don't like to do too much with hearsay, etc....)
Also, "100%" of RI apparently is not literally true either.

specifically, this thread is about the layoffs in the ZFSSA org. apparently 50% of the org, in BRM, SCA, and elsewhere, was cut. Smaller sites (RI, IRV) within the ZFSSA org seem to have been cut 100%.
ZFSSA engineering, Pillar development, some Solaris development and technical support.
