No, the people laid off were not Hoffman new associates. Veteran people across the call center business across the US. Some had been with Sears for a long time.

Hoffman is already below the number of employees required for the tax break.

Maybe.....who knows what the case is. Is it some of the new call center associates at Hoffman? Maybe some new hires didnt pan out. There still is the 30 60 90 day process I believe where an associate can be let go within this time frame too if not proving to be the right fit for the job.

@1kkc They moved call-center jobs to Hoffman so they could keep up the total employee numbers at HE (in order to get Illinois tax credits for having a certain minimum threshold number). They're going to be laying off other call centers nationally after those folks are up to speed.
