Severance Payment - Bed Bath & Beyond 2017 Layoffs

Do you know what the terms of Severance are? I have been spared this time around but our store is so slow I would not be surprised if they were to make a fairly logical decision and close the store completely. I am a Department Manager and have been with the company for about 10 years now.

My manager told us at our morning meeting that this round is likely not the last round of layoffs. This was said with district and regional staff in attendance. If you survived the initial layoffs, and you're management, be prepared for what could be coming down the road.

This is just the beginning. Too many stores + Amazon knocking at the door. BBB will NEVER see the good ol' days ever again. Talk of closing about 100 stores if the lease renewals don't go well is a harbinger of what's to come.

Dude your F---ED.

BBB......🏌🏾

They are losing money. They are trying to push TBS, bridal, & kissing all throughout the store to increase sales. They changed the return policy, created a jr dept mgr position. Same duties less pay. 💵 vs 💰💰💰

My wife works at BBB, she has not been let go but she told me that you get one week of pay for every year that you've spent with the company. Not bad, but it could have been much better.
